Kris's Stitches is a wonderful series of designs, dedicated to the memory of a very special lady.
Kris Stott and her husband Dave purchased Norden Crafts many years ago and made it into the best wholesale distributor in the
needlework industry. Their children Katy and Matt are also an integral part of the business and we are indeed fortunate to count them among our friends.
Kris's sudden death last year left an empty place in all of our hearts, she was the soul of Norden Crafts and her vitality, charm,
kindness, sense of humor and love of needlework would shine through in everything she did.
Her daughter Katy wanted to create a special remembrance of her mother and asked designers to contribute a small design to be published as a collaborative chart dedicated to her memory. So great was everyone's love for Kris that the designs poured in, so many that it was impossible to put them all into one chart--so the result is Kris's Stitches.
These designs will be published in a series of seven leaflets throughout 2010, each with a different theme.
One of Kris's great loves was that of animals and in a tribute to this love, Norden Crafts is donating the proceeds from the sale of these charts to animal organizations dedicated to the care and adoption of homeless pets. As a shop, we are also doing the same, so when you order these charts, the entire purchase price will go to this cause. Kris was a very special friend whose love for animals transcends time, her gift will benefit them long into the future and we are honored to be part of this.
